The NYS Veterans' Home resembles a small village with residential units opening off of a central mall. The mall serves as the "main street," housing everything from the library and Dining Hall to administrative offices, snack machines, the Beauty Shop, and more. Each nursing unit is named after a tree; such as "Oak", "Hawthorn", "Pine", "Maple", "Apple", and "Spruce". There is also a "Sprapple" unit located between Apple and Spruce Cottages.

Our campus is a special community providing security, services, and companionship for veterans and dependents. It's physically attractive grounds and accommodations, combined with a sincere atmosphere of caring, makes life at the Veterans' Home pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable.
