The New York State Veterans' Home at Batavia resembles a small village with three residential cottages opening off its central mall. "Main Street" on the mall houses a Library, dining rooms, barber and beauty shop, and a Gift Shop. The Home is a training site for students studying various medical and nursing disciplines, Physical and Occupational Therapies, and Social Services.
